This is not necessarily about a project in Rocky Point, but about a real estate firm, Terranova Inversiones, which is owned by ex-mayor Ramon Martinez and his brother, Martin Martinez. Unfortunately, I worked for the firm as General Manager, and left due to their unethical practices. Specifically, they are famous for keeping/spending deposits taken from potential buyers on real estate transactions. Unwitting victims have taken their battle to the ethics committees of both AMPI and PPAREA, to no avail. The fault there isn’t due to the organizations, but to the slippery brothers who believe themselves influential enough to get away with this. The Martinez brothers believe themselves above the rules of ethics as well as the laws. The majority of Realtors working in Rocky Point are professional and ethical. Visitors and investors alike should avoid doing business with anyone who isn’t reputable and professional.
